Beschreibung
When concerns arise about unequal pay in the workplace, management is reluctant to share salary data, and questions emerge about the remuneration of works council members, the works council needs a clear understanding of its legal rights. This practical seminar turns recent German court rulings into concrete steps you can apply directly in your day-to-day works council activities.
The course Latest German Case Law for Works Councils – Focus on Pay and Pay Transparency is designed for works council members who want to make legally sound decisions and confidently address remuneration issues. You will learn how to adopt legally valid resolutions and assess the enforceability of works agreements.
A particular focus is on equal pay. You will explore your rights to access remuneration data, how recent case law addresses individual pay comparisons, and the role of the burden of proof under Section 22 of the German General Equal Treatment Act (AGG). The seminar also examines the EU Pay Transparency Directive, the status of its implementation in Germany, and the practical steps works councils can take to prepare.
By attending this seminar, you will gain greater confidence in handling pay data and exercising co-determination rights, enabling you to participate effectively in matters such as mobile working arrangements, conciliation committee proceedings, and remuneration principles. Direct discussions with a conciliation committee chairperson and the review of existing framework works agreements provide valuable practical insights that you can put to use in your works council.
Course fee: €1,950 plus applicable VAT and additional hotel costs. Hotel costs are not included in the course fee.
